Oakes Grotesk font is a more corporate and professional version of the original Oakes typeface, designed for today’s design uses. As a general improvement of its flexibility, it adds new metrics that increase readability no matter the context, be it text or headings.
New changes include a new double-story ‘g,’ which gives the font a more conventional and refined look. Other improvements to other figures also enhance its legibility and functionality so that the text reads well without losing the delicate rounded shapes that are characteristic of the Oakes typeface.
Oakes Grotesk is perfect for the job when you need a modern design that is at the same time very professional and friendly, that is why it is suitable for corporate identifications, editorial design and other similar projects.

Where Oakes Grotesk Font works best
Interfaces and dashboards
Oakes Grotesk Font keeps its shape at 14 and 16 pixels, which is where interface text actually lives. Numbers and capitals stay distinguishable in tables.
Decks and internal documents
Presentations are read at a distance; a clean sans with a strong bold is the safest hierarchy you can build in a hurry.
Signage and wayfinding
Simple letterforms survive angles, glare and movement, so Oakes Grotesk Font suits door signs, menus boards and exhibition panels.
