Check the design at 120 pixels square, which is where most people will see it first. Artist name and title should be distinguishable even when everything else turns to mush. Avoid thin outlines and tiny credits on the front; move them to the back or the booklet. For gig posters, the date and venue need their own level in the hierarchy, not the same size as the supporting acts.
