Yamas is a distinctive and neutral display font by Taylor Penton. It is suitable for a wide range of applications to give the text a certain playful and fluid feel. This is a light font with round corners and fun; you can access swash italics by using the shift key to add some variation to the text. The pixel-art visuals of Yamas feature clear, hand-drawn aesthetics and will exhibit a uniform and natural look created by drawing in tandem with the song playing in the background.
It comes with all the characters ranging from the uppercase letters A-Z to numbers from 0 to 9 and basic punctuation symbols. Furthermore, Yamas also provides variations for its characters so that you can have more choices and be more creative in your design ideas. For branding, invitations, or any artistic piece, Yamas injects a unique and individualistic approach to typography.

Where Yamas Font works best
Thumbnails and covers
Yamas Font is built to be recognised small. Three words, high contrast, and it survives being scaled to a phone screen.
Event and match posters
Display letters at full width make a date and a name readable across a room, which is all a poster has to do.
Merch and streetwear
Heavy display shapes print cleanly on fabric and stay legible when the garment moves.
Is Yamas Font really free?
The download costs nothing and needs no account. What you may do with the font afterwards is set by its author: the license file travels inside the archive, and it is the only document that decides whether a commercial project is covered.
How do I install it on Windows or a Mac?
Three steps, no extra software:
- Download the ZIP and extract it (double-click on Mac, right-click → Extract on Windows).
- Open the .ttf or .otf file and click Install / Install Font.
- Restart the app you want to use it in — the font is now available system-wide.
What kind of work does Yamas Font suit?
It sits in the Display Fonts group and reads as branding, creative, display, display fonts. That makes it a candidate wherever those qualities help: headings, packaging, social graphics and brand work. Set it at the size you plan to use before deciding.
