Quiche Sans is a refined typeface with high contrast and a serif font by Adam Ladd, characterized by squared stroke endings and oblique stems. Being a member of the Quiche family, it does not have the ball-shaped tips at the ends, giving it a more contemporary appearance. Coming in thin to black with matching italics, Quiche Sans is perfect for use in various fields such as print, web, branding, advertising, magazines, products, packaging, and labels.
Based on the didone serif style, Quiche Sans maintains sophistication and strong bold and thin letter forms while removing the serifs, which gives the typeface a modern flair. The brush strokes gradually blend into one another to give the artwork a smooth, single-line finish.
Thus, Quiche Sans does not cause compatibility issues with most of the software used, including MS Word and Pages. However, if one wants to use the other features that are provided by OpenType, it is advisable to use OpenType-enabled software, for instance, Adobe products. The PUA encoding is limited to swash capitals only, and other stylistic variants do not use it, thus preserving important aspects such as spell checking, searching, and proper glyph substitution when switching between fonts.
Where Quiche Sans Font works best
Long reads that need authority
Reports, white papers and book interiors hold the eye longer when the text face has real serifs; Quiche Sans Font keeps that rhythm without looking old-fashioned.
Packaging with a heritage story
Food, spirits and cosmetics brands lean on serif wordmarks to suggest age and care. Quiche Sans Font gives that signal at wordmark size.
Certificates and formal documents
Set Quiche Sans Font for the body of an award or a diploma and keep the recipient name in a script; the pairing is what makes a document feel official.
Is Quiche Sans Font really free?
The download costs nothing and needs no account. What you may do with the font afterwards is set by its author: the license file travels inside the archive, and it is the only document that decides whether a commercial project is covered.
How do I install it on Windows or a Mac?
Three steps, no extra software:
- Download the ZIP and extract it (double-click on Mac, right-click → Extract on Windows).
- Open the .ttf or .otf file and click Install / Install Font.
- Restart the app you want to use it in — the font is now available system-wide.
What kind of work does Quiche Sans Font suit?
It sits in the Serif Fonts group and reads as bold, brush, elegant, modern. That makes it a candidate wherever those qualities help: headings, packaging, social graphics and brand work. Set it at the size you plan to use before deciding.
