Instory Font

Q: How do I install it on Windows or a Mac?

Unpack the archive first — double-click it on a Mac, or right-click and choose Extract on Windows. Open the zip (ttf or otf) file that appears and press Install. Applications that were already running need a restart before the font shows up in their menus.

Instory Font is a new modern brush font with an irregular baseline, a contemporary approach to design, handmade natural and suitable for use in title design such as clothing, invitations, book titles, stationery designs, quotes, branding, logos, T-shirts, packaging designs, posters, and more.

Where Instory Font works best

Headlines and titles

Instory Font has enough character to carry a headline on its own; set it large and keep the supporting text plain.

Brand and product names

Short strings are where this typeface is strongest — a name, a label, a cover line.

Social and video graphics

Set Instory Font over a flat colour or a quiet photograph so the letterforms stay the focus.

Is Instory Font really free?

The download costs nothing and needs no account. What you may do with the font afterwards is set by its author: the license file travels inside the archive, and it is the only document that decides whether a commercial project is covered.

How do I install it on Windows or a Mac?

Three steps, no extra software:

Download the ZIP and extract it (double-click on Mac, right-click → Extract on Windows).
Open the .ttf or .otf file and click Install / Install Font.
Restart the app you want to use it in — the font is now available system-wide.

What kind of work does Instory Font suit?

It sits in the Brush Fonts group and reads as branding, brush, brush fonts, contemporary. That makes it a candidate wherever those qualities help: headings, packaging, social graphics and brand work. Set it at the size you plan to use before deciding.
